Just for Beginners

The Kennelly School welcomes beginners. Class participants will learn to dance in the traditional Irish style, increasing self-esteem and confidence through coordination. Strength and flexibility will be the goal along with learning the love of dance and music.

About the Director

Patricia Kennelly, ADCRG is an accredited Irish dance teacher and adjudicator with The Irish Dancing Commission in Dublin, Ireland.

Getting started

  • Select a suitable session from our class schedule.
  • Arrive at first class a few minutes early to meet the instructor and ask any questions you may have.
  • All dancers wear shorts, a neat T-shirt, white calf-length socks and black ballet slippers or Irish reel shoes.
  • Children starting Irish dance for the first time should wear a red sock on the right foot and a white sock on the left foot.
  • Bring an optional material fee of $20.00 payable to Kennelly School for an Irish dance CD.
