Kennelly School Costume

Following is information on the Kennelly School costume for girls, boys, women and men. Please note that any listed prices are approximate and subject to change.

Girls' Costume

All solo costumes must be approved by Patricia Kennelly before purchase.

School Dress

  • Black pleated skirt with waistband and elastic back, available from JC Penney's School Uniform Catalog: "All-Around Pleated Skirt." In girls' sizes 4-6x, 7-16, and 10 1/2 - 18 1/2. Order online, or call (800) 222-6161. Also available at Land's End in Los Gatos.
  • Plain white long-sleeved button-down blouse with Peter Pan collar, available from JC Penney's School Uniform Catalog: "Blouse, Round Collar." Comes in package of two, in girls' sizes 4-6x, 7-16, and 10 1/2 - 18 1/2. Costs approximately $18 - $22, plus tax and shipping. Order online, or call (800) 222-6161.

Accessories

  • School headband and scrunchie (available from Patricia Kennelly)
  • White poodle socks (available at feiseanna)
  • Irish dancing shoes (available at feiseanna, and from many Irish import shops)
  • Black "kick pants" (available at dance supply shops)
  • Kennelly School brooch for children (available from Irish Treasures; see listing in Dance Supplies)

Boys' Costume

  • Black trousers
  • Dress shirt and tie in style/colors specified by Patricia Kennelly
  • Black leather belt -black socks
  • Capezio jazz shoes or boys' reel shoes

Women's Costume

  • Black stretch velvet dress with round neck from Victoria's Secret catalog. Item #119-220 in black (color 93); comes in XS - XL. Costs approximately $70, plus shipping and tax. Order online or call (800) 888-8200.
  • Sheer pink cape, rhinestones for neckline (available from Patricia Kennelly)
  • Black Capezio "Stretch & Hold" tights (available from dance supply stores)
  • Black "kick pants" (available from dance supply stores)

Men's Costume

Same as for boys

Fitting Information

If you plan to have a new school costume custom-made, you'll need to provide the following measurements:

  • bust
  • waist
  • backbone to waist
  • skirt
  • shoulder to shoulder
  • sleeve
